cK Goes Out on a Saturday Night!

CK AND PALS HIT DAVE & BUSTERS, WENDELL CLARK'S AND HIT A CLUB!

In what was supposed to be a night out at a Haunted Hayride in Stouffville, our gang (myself, Vinh, Bo Wen and Shawn) ended up doing our "plan b" which was Dave and Busters in Vaughan, Ontario. When we arrived there around 8:00pm -- it was jam packed. There was a 45 minute wait for a table, and the staff from the door all the way to the person who puts your name on the waiting list for a table were totally unprofessional and appeared to not like their jobs.

This turned us off completely and we decided to leave. We went to Wendell Clark's Classic Grille which was right across from Dave and Busters. The place had a really nice ambiance. The food was great however they couldn't accommodate Shawn's food allergies of no eggs. Apparently 98% of the menu had eggs involved in it. They also said that the food is not prepared there so they couldn't control most of whats in it.

I had a Lobster Bisque and a Pan Roasted Sea Bass dinner. I liked it as it was maybe the first time I've had sea bass! After we finished at Wendell's, we went back to Vinh's car, a 1978 Chevrolet Malibu. It was broken down in the parking lot, and Vinh couldn't get it started. So I called my mechanic, Frank, whom lives nearby. He came to check things out and just like a magician - voila! He got it to work! So Vinh and Bo Wen were very grateful and invited him to come out and hang with us where they would treat him to anything he wanted.

So we then venture to the Fox and Fiddle in Richmond Hill. That's where the rest of our gang who was going with us to the canceled hayride ended up. There was a $5 cover to get in -- I guess because of the UFC match happening. We met up with the bunch and had some drinks. Frank and I chilled out and we all had good views of tv's to see the UFC match. Everyone was into in and it was fun making predictions. The waitress there was cool, she told us about J?ger-Bombs and suggested we try it. So we did... I didn't know what we were getting into. At first I was told that it was a shot of J?germeister in a shot glass, and you drop that glass in another glass of beer.. then chug!

Eeek....

Well, when it came I was relieved. It was a shot of J?germeister in a shot glass but in a glass of red bull. That was okay and then everyone who took a shot felt they could do another one. We didn't. We just drank our regular things. I figured that the UFC 90 posters that were on the walls would be outdated after tonight, so I asked the waitress if I could have it. She went and checked..and confirmed that I could totally take one home! So I got a free poster!

After the UFC match was over, the rest of the gang left and went home. Frank and I stuck around because the dancefloor opened up at the Fox and Fiddle and there was dancing. However, there were like maybe 2 girls dancing by themselves on a very empty dancefloor while 80 guys hovered around the outside. Frank and I danced a little before we went next door to check out the Honest Lawyer. That place was really nice inside, there were a lot of people there but there was no dancefloor and not really any open tables. So Frank and I ventured outside and heard some loud music coming from Nava. So we went there and discovered that is where everyone was! They had a full dancefloor and a big mix of guys and girls. As soon as Frank and I hit the dancefloor, this one girl was dancing with this guy and stopped.. then started dancing with me! I was shocked! Frank and I took a liking to this place quickly! So the night was full of fun and dancing and we had a great time. Frank danced with some girls and we both left the place smiling.

It was a fun filled night, even though we originally were planning to be on a haunted hayride!!! So much for that! Maybe next week!
