cK and Jacs Excellent Adventure

CK AND JACS EXPLORE TORONTO WITH BURGERS, BREAKDANCING AND SHISHA!

Hmmm... what do you do when it's been raining all of July, and all of a sudden you get a Monday evening where the weather is humid, hot but great to be out? Call up Jacs!!!

Well that is what happened and we embarked on quite an adventure! We first met up at Dundas Square where we decided to grab a bite to eat -- since we were both starving. I magically had some discount cards for Johnny Rockets that took off 10% of the meal. So, we went there. I had a root beer float while Jacs had an Oreo cookies & cream shake! Mmmmm -- they were very good! Top it off with burgers, chili fries and great conversation to make one great start to the evening!

Jacs won $2!!!!!! Whooo hoooo!!! She is off to Vegas! After that, we went for a random walk around the downtown Toronto core. No destination in mind, just random walking and chatting away. I walked along the "scramble crossing" at Yonge/Dundas just for fun with Jacs snapping some pics. As we walked around, the streets grew quieter. The bustle of the city was slowing down as the night darkened. We were passing by a little convenience shop and I remembered that I had 2 winning lottery tickets in my back pocket. Every time I would go to a store, the lineup would be too long to cash it in, so I just skipped it. This time, there is no line in the little store, so I went in. I gave one ticket to Jacs, and I told her to cash it in -- just so she could hear the melody play on the machine and the voice saying, "WINNER! GAGNON!!" (da-doo-da-doooo...do-do-do-da doot doot dooooo!!) She won $2. It was a little amount, but it's still fun to win!

We found our way into The Grange Park where we discovered an old tower that looks exactly out of a fairy tale book. Jacs said that it looked like the tower where Rapunzel was trapped in and let down her hair. I agreed!! We kept walking and ended up behind the AGO. It's an interesting sight to see at night. We continued to walk aimlessly, chatting about coffee and tea when I suggested we actually go and get one! Since it was wayyy past Starbucks operating hours, Jacs knew of a place along Yonge St that was a shisha cafe. I have never tried shisha (or hookah as its called in other circles) and wanted to do it. So we get a great seat on the patio with a pot full of tea and baklava. The shisha flavour that we got was "LEMON" as the hosts kept suggesting we try it. Jacs really liked the "GRAPE & MINT" flavour, but we figured to try something new for the both of us. The following video (in High Definition) is of my very first shisha experience:

Crazy!! I love trying to snort like a bull! Well, the veteran shisha chick, Jacs was giving me a little demonstration and pointers. The following is a video of her (in High Definition) demonstrating two techniques.

I could have hung out with Jacs all night, but I had to go! So we cut our fun adventure evening short as I walked her to the subway station. It was a fun night, I can't wait until the next adventure!!
